He worked hard to rehabilitate his knee, but his injury ultimately caused his departure from the United States Army.

He considers himself lucky, as the Army had excellent surgeons, and the VA was there to help him after his service connected injury during a parachute mission. There, he worked with insurance companies and large corporations, including Fortune 500 companies. He honed his skills as a trial attorney and learned how insurance companies evaluate and litigate automobile accident injury cases, a skill he now uses to assist his clients.

Tim’s partner at Van Riper & Nies, Christian Van Riper, began his legal career as a State Attorney, where he prosecuted countless serious felony cases for the State of Florida. His time working for the state sharpened his trial skills, which benefit him today when he represents seriously injured clients.
